Enlightenment DR 17 is a next-generation window manager for UNIX operating systems. It is currently in a pre-alpha stage and is under heavy development. A fairly large community already uses the development version from CVS on a daily basis though. Note that E17 is not officially supported at this stage, but people are free to try it out of course, but the standard disclaimers for pre-alpha software apply.

New e17 Theme 'Grunge' - Brian 'morlenxus' Miculcy [All my articles] (Tue, 08 Apr 2008 10:50:02 +0100)

Some of you might already noticed that Tom (Toma-) Haste was working on a new e17 theme called 'Grunge'. Today version 1.0 has been released:
Its not meant to be clean. Its not meant to be glossy. It is a demonstration of how a UI can be interesting and artistic. There are 3 extra border and shelves to choose from.
He spend a lot of time into creating this theme and the result is very very nice. Give it a try, you will like it! He also created a matching dark static background, and updated the matching white static background which supports now resolutions higher than 1680x1050.
