Menus have been changed. - David 'onefang' Seikel [All my articles] (Thu, 24 Aug 2006 12:20:20 +0100) Just like the previous change to the location of the ibar and engage configuration directories, the favorite menu configuration directory has now moved. There is now an ~/.e/e/applications/menu directory, and it has two sub directories - all and favorite. You should manually move the contents of ~/.e/e/applications/favorite to ~/.e/e/applications/menu/favorite. The menu/all directory gets filled automatically with the contents of your freedesktop.org compatible system menus, if you have any. These are the same menus used by other window managers like GNOME and KDE. They are shown as the `All Applications' menu. On the other hand, due to an issue with certain Debian installations, the automatic menu generation is currently disabled, you have to do it manually for now. In the `Configuration' menu there is now a `Regenerate "All Applications" Menu' which will do that.
On the plus side, you can now drag and drop applications from the menu to the ibar, and any other E place that accepts application drops.
