Enlightenment DR 17 is a next-generation window manager for UNIX operating systems. It is currently in a pre-alpha stage and is under heavy development. A fairly large community already uses the development version from CVS on a daily basis though. Note that E17 is not officially supported at this stage, but people are free to try it out of course, but the standard disclaimers for pre-alpha software apply.

The dEvian module by kiwi has been splitted. The first result is the new photo module which stays in the shelf and displays different pictures in a slideshow. You can define with which mouse button you want to open a picture viewer, set the current picture as the desktop background and also how do you want to see a short information about the current picture. The module is in cvs dir e_modules/photo. A small preview is available here.
